WHAT EVA OFFERS
The subjects
In the freshmen year, there are basic subjects, such as mathematics, physics and chemistry, Czech language, literature, gymnascits, social sciences, history, English language and a second foreign language. The education is further enriched with subjects focusing on knowledge and skills in the field of economics, such as economics, technologies and electronic and written communication (writing on the computer with all ten fingers).
In the sophomore year, the chemistry will be replaced with biology, and in the subject of electronic and written communication students deal with official and personal letters. The subjects of accounting and geography will be added.
In the junior year, chemistry will replace physics again. The subject of economics is divided into theoretical economics and practical (business).
In the senior year, the number of subjects will be reduced to an absolute minimum. Mathematics, economics, foreign languages, literature, grammar and gymnastic remain. Due to this, consulting seminars will be added. The student chooses 2 seminars for personal development, for example at university. In addition, he has two consultation seminars for the graduation thesis, one with the topic of economics and the other with a topic chosen by the student himself.
One day a week is always dedicated to project days, when students create and work on individual thematic projects throughout the day in two blocks. In the senior year, this day is mainly devoted to work on the graduation project.

Foreign languages
English language
English is a compulsory foreign language. Before entering the first year, each student participate a placement test, which assigns him to a group according to his results. The English language in our school starts with A2 and ends with B1, some groups progress to B2. We work with the New Success book. Applicants apply for the passing of an international language certificate FCE or CAE, depending on their progress.
Spanish language
The Spanish language starts from the beginning and ends around A2 to B1. The school allows for exchanges with Spanish students. We work with the Vitamina book.
German language
German, like Spanish, starts from the beginning and ends around A2 to B1. The school allows exchanges with German students. We work with the Panorama book.
The russian and french languages have not yet been opened due to a shortage of candidates.
The Admission
Admission Average
The innovative program of economic lyceum (EL) is a program, which has a separate application. In case, that a student wants to apply on the innovative program EL and the standard program EL, we are speaking about two applications.
Applicants write entrance exams (the share of which is 60%) in the national deadlines, and both certificates from the eighth grade and from the first half of the ninth grade of elementary school are taken into account.
It is importat to have in mind, that the number of students in each study year effects the criteria of admission. The more students, the harder the admission criteria, for example the greater number of points for admission or even a better average of certificates.
Averages from 2023:
- Overall Math grade point average of admitted students = 36 points
- Overall Czech grade point average of admitted students = 40 points
- The last applicant had a Math grade point: 25 points
- The last applicant had a Czech grade point: 35 points
